Baseboards/Short Story
Jan. 9th, 2008 08:05 amWell, I didn't get as much done on the baseboards as I wanted, primarily becasue it takes forever to make a 45-degree cut with a hacksaw. Husband says I should get a miter-box, butI'm almost done.... Well, I'm almost done with the 'Installing New Baseboards Project'. Most of the first floor has been redone, and all that remains is repainting a lot of the second floor and the master bath water closet baseboards.
I did buy a coping saw, however. (Yes, an excuse to buy a tool)
The two remaining corners are coped rather than mitered, which will be a lot easier. Originally, all the corners in this bathroom were coped, meaning that the corner that one happens to stare at if one sits on the toilet....looked terrible. I don't have any heartburn about coping the corners that are hidden but, really, IMHO, exposed ones just shouldn't be.
Although I'm ready to make my revisions to DD, I worked on a January story last night. We'll see. This one has an eretik....so it borders on horror. But it isn't. So there.
Must go cope....back later today.
