ETA: 70-day refusal from Orson Scott Card's IGMS for "The Nature of Demons". I'd had hope for it because most of their recent listings in the Black Hole ran about 20 -26 days. Now I have to think of another place to send it. Hmmm....
I finished the rough draft of the pirate story. It came in at an amazing 4.2 K (out of a possible 5K). I couldn't believe it. I almost never go short. I actually have space to add a few words, although my wise first reader said not to add any more description or risk slowing down the plot.
Two people on Baen's Bar asked to read the entirety of Dreaming Death. I hope they have wise advice for me to help me file down any rough spots before I submit it again.
